INTRODUCING QUORN ULTIMATE BURGER

Our new burger is set to deliver an epic taste and texture experience, in the form of a great-tasting, thick cut quarter pounder, that’s succulent with the juice of beets, as well as being vegan.

When it comes to eating out, burgers still top the lunchtime charts for a popular choice1; but increasingly, consumers are looking for delicious, meat free options, with more than half of all UK consumers (52%) reducing their meat consumption2.

Quorn Ultimate Burger is a source of protein and fibre and, unlike other plant-based burgers, it contains no soy.

To mark the launch of Quorn Ultimate Burger, we have worked with high-profile chef and Quorn partner, Chantelle Nicholson, to develop the Ultimate Build for your customers.

Chantelle is also the author of Planted; featuring plant-based recipes that can be enjoyed by vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians alike.

Ingredients

  • Chargrilled Quorn Ultimate Burger
  • BBQ mayo
    • 1 tsp BBQ sauce
    • 2 tbsp vegan mayo
    • Pinch of smoked paprika
  • Iceberg lettuce leaf
  • Sliced gherkin
  • Vegan cheese slice
  • English mustard
  • Seeded burger bun

Method

  1. Chargrill the burger (important to get the smokiness but if no grill is available, then pan fried in a little oil would suffice). The burger will also need a quick few minutes in a hot oven to get hot in the centre.
  2. Spread 1 tsp of English mustard on the caramelised burger.
  3. Place cheese on top and place under the grill for one minute.
  4. Brush the bun with a little olive oil and then toast.
  5. Place the burger on the bottom half of the bun and top with three slices of gherkin, then the lettuce leaf.
  6. Spread the BBQ mayo generously onto the top bun, then place on top of the lettuce.
