Fairer Fish Indonesian pole & line uses only Skipjack, the most sustainable species of tuna. Caught using one by one fishing methods to help maintain a healthy ecosystem and protect natural stock levels. This fishing method has very low levels of bycatch of non target species and fewer juvenile fish are caught due to its one by one nature. One by one fishing methods provide far higher levels of local employment which are vital in protecting fishing communities and are an integral part of coastal community life. Local tuna canneries support many land-based jobs both within the factories and hundreds of small businesses that support the fishing industry.
