Black garlic is fresh raw garlic that has been fermented. The fermentation turns the garlic black and they become softer, sweeter and more chewy. The taste of black garlic is very different to the raw garlic, it has a fruity and tangy taste, with tones of licorice, molasses and currants. This flavoursome ingredient also has some great health benefits.
