Gingerbread & Mincemeat Bread & Butter Pudding

  • A 461438 Roberts White Extra Thick Sliced Bread (600g)
  • C 71514 Sysco Classic Soft Spread (50g)
  • A 15605 Sysco Classic Mincemeat (200g)
  • A 16392 Brakes 18 British Free Range Fresh Medium Eggs (x5)
  • C 70219 Wholesome Farms Fresh British Whole Milk (600ml)
  • A 350098 Tate & Lyle Caster Sugar (100g)
  • A 5020933 McVities Tasties Ginger Nuts (100g)

Preparation:

  • Butter the sliced bread with the spread.
  • Crack and whisk eggs with the milk and caster sugar.
  • Crush the ginger nut biscuits.

Method:

  • Layer the buttered bread with the mincemeat in an ovenproof dish.
  • Top with the crushed ginger nuts.
  • Add the milk, egg and sugar mixture and press down, ensuring the custard mix is evenly spread.
  • Allow to soak for at least 30 minutes while your oven is preheating.
  • Place the dish into an oven at 160 degrees and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown and springy.
