Fairfax Meadow launches range into Brakes

13 October 2026

Fairfax Meadow, the UK’s leading catering butcher, has launched a range of more than 30 fresh meat products into Brakes.

The range covers beef, lamb, pork, chicken and veal. Leading the range is Fairfax Meadow’s Casterbridge beef, produced from PGI West Country cattle and aged for a minimum of 21 days, with selected cuts dry aged in Himalayan salt chambers to deepen flavour and improve tenderness.

Fairfax Meadow was acquired by Sysco in 2025, with over fifty years’ experience and a reputation for the quality of its meat range, including strong sourcing, skilled butchery and full farm to fork traceability. As catering specialists, every product is prepared to foodservice specifications, giving chefs confidence in consistency, yield and performance.

The launch strengthens Brakes’ fresh meat proposition by adding specialist capability from within Sysco. Fairfax Meadow brings heritage, BRCGS‑certified sites, complete traceability and a multi‑species range that sits naturally alongside the Sysco tiered brands. It also gives Brakes customers access to a wide range of quality products, and the convenience of one order, one delivery and one invoice. Fairfax Meadow was also the winner of Meat Management’s Catering Butcher of the Year award earlier this year.

David Cole, Merchandising Director, Sysco GB, said: “The Fairfax Meadow products are a brilliant addition to Brakes’ fresh meat range. Being part of Sysco means we can bring together the strengths of our sister companies in a way that really benefits customers.

“Fairfax Meadow has a long track record of quality and consistency, and now chefs can access that expertise through Brakes with the simplicity they already know. It is another step forward in building a fresh offer that helps kitchens deliver great plates of food every day.”

The initial range of 30 products is expected to expand over the coming year.
