Brakes Scotland named Best for Scottish at Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards

Brakes Scotland has been named Best for Scottish (Multiple Business of the Year) at the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2026.

The award, sponsored by Palletforce, recognises Brakes Scotland’s commitment to championing Scottish food and drink across the business, from its supply chain and depot operations through to its sales teams and the relationships it has built with Scottish suppliers.

The win comes during an exciting year for Brakes Scotland, following the opening of its Newhouse depot extension in March. The £15 million investment from Sysco has significantly increased the number of products that can be held locally in Scotland, helping to strengthen the local supply chain and further support the fantastic Scottish suppliers Brakes works with.

The award is a reflection of the contribution made by colleagues across Brakes Scotland and their shared commitment to supporting customers, suppliers and Scotland’s wider food and drink industry.
