Infrastructure
We’ve reduced the carbon footprint of our operations by improving our energy efficiency and transitioning to renewable electricity.
We’ve set an ambitious science-based target to cut our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions 27.5% by 2030. We are on track to achieve this target through investing in renewable electricity, energy efficient operations and next-generation logistics solutions.
Next-gen refrigerants
We are transitioning our depots to low-carbon, energy efficient CO2 or ammonia-based refrigeration systems.
Efficiency Upgrades
We are continually improving our efficiency, installing LED lights and improved insulation across our sites.
Wind Energy
We have signed a wind power purchase agreement to provide around a third of our electricity each year. With this latest investment, we are on track to achieve our target of 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
Solar Energy
We continue to invest in growing our solar capacity, with 6.9MW of solar arrays across six sites. These produce enough electricity to power the equivalent of 2000 homes.
Logistics
We will lead the foodservice industry in maximising fleet efficiency and transforming
to low-carbon tech.
Fleet Efficiency
We have improved our fleet efficiency through transitioning to EUROVI engines, which are the most efficient diesel engines.
Emissions Reduction
We have an industry-leading climate goal to reduce emissions across our global operations and entire value chain
Zero Emission Vehicles
We have introduced zero-emission multi-temperature vehicles, which can save around 52 tonnes of carbon per HGV each year.
Scope 1 and 2
We’ve set SBTI-validated targets to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions 27.5% by 2030 from our 2019 baseline.
Waste
Leading on waste
We’re aligned with the UK Food & Drink Pact to halve food waste by 2030.
Recycling our waste
92% of our waste was recycled or reused across our operations in 2025.
Reducing food waste
We’ve reduced food waste in our operations by 31% since 2019.
