Brakes wins Foodservice Operator of the year

Brakes are delighted to have won coveted Foodservice Operator of the Year at the Quality Food and Drink Awards for Foodservice as well as receiving a further ten winning, six highly commended and five commended food product awards.

The success at the Awards reflects the company’s focus on food innovation and product development, which paid dividends as Brakes took the top slot in 11 food categories including meat & poultry and deli.

‘Our focus puts the customer first, so it was fantastic to win so many awards, not just for our food but also as the Foodservice Operator Supplier of the Year. This recognises the work that we have undertaken across the business to improve the customer experience, including: launching a new website, upgrading logistics, improving our sustainability credentials, and investing in new facilities and technology, all of which have been done with the support of parent company Sysco,’ says Sarah Hartley, Brakes’ Head of Food & Brand. ‘The awards that we received for our products are a great endorsement of the time and effort we put into creating great tasting, on-trend food that our customers can use across their menus.’

In addition to the Supplier of the Year, Brakes won a further 11 product categories as well as being highly commended in six and commended in a further five, across categories including: bakery, meal solutions, dairy, deli, grocery, fish and seafood, desserts, and meat and poultry.
