Our name has changed to 'Brakes a Sysco company'
18 November 2019 When Brakes was acquired by Sysco in 2016, it signalled the start of a new chapter in our development, providing fresh impetus and investment to refocus the business and ensure that we put the customer at the very heart of everything we do. As part of the ‘Customer First’ approach that we share with Sysco, our vision is ‘to be our customers’ most valued and trusted business partner’ by having the best food at the right price, service powered by great people and technology, and internal systems and processes that will make it easy for you to interact with Brakes. Over £200m of investment is now powering changes to our business that you tell us are important. We are starting by changing our brand name to ‘Brakes a Sysco company’ and you will see our new name start to appear over the coming weeks and months, including on our new, vibrant lorry designs that are rolling out across our vehicle fleet. Further developments and investments that that will directly improve your experience with us also include: Our recently launched new E-commerce customer website which is receiving brilliant feedback. You can register or log on at My Brakes A reorganised sales and service team structure, with these teams working closer together in your area to deliver a more aligned and local customer experience Our new ‘Breakfast Email’ that lets you know of any missing products on your delivery, so you are aware well before the vehicle arrives Expanding our fresh and chilled ranges to better meet and exceed your expectations, with our award-winning Birchstead meat range extending to offer lamb, chicken and pork, as well as easy access through your Brakes account to the full fresh produce range from our sister company, Fresh Direct Behind the scenes we are also updating our back-office systems and processes and we will keep you informed of our progress on this later this year.
