Dishes to welcome in the Chinese New Year

Also known as the Spring Festival, this 15-day festival celebrates a new year at the beginning of the lunisolar Chinese calendar. This year, it begins on Saturday, February 10, 2024, and is the year of the dragon, a symbol of power, strength and luck.

This occasion is the perfect time to show off your Asian cookery, and we have some fantastic recipes and products on promotion this month to help you save on cost.

Stir-fry is a Chinese cooking technique that is loved by many and a great addition to your menu across the famous festival. Try using our new Beef Flat Iron Steak as the centre of the dish. Add in Chinese vegetables such as pak choi or mangetout (also known as snow peas) for some crunch. For depth of flavour, use a salty soy sauce and a gochujang sauce for chilli heat.
