Brakes recognises its apprentice achievers

In recognition of National Apprenticeships Week 2022, Brakes, the UK’s leading foodservice wholesaler, has launched a new social media campaign highlighting the success of Brakes colleagues who have completed apprenticeships within the business.

From supply chain to customers services and from accounts to drivers, the Brakes’ Apprentice Achievers campaign showcases the success of apprentices and highlights the breadth of apprenticeships on offer. A series of ‘day in the life’ videos and interviews help to show prospective apprentices exactly what is involved in following this route into a career at Brakes - apprenticeships at Brakes video.

Brakes has recently appointed a new Apprenticeships Manager, Sharni Haslam, recognising the importance it places on its apprenticeship programme. Sharni said: “We have had some fantastic successes through our apprenticeships programme, with many apprentices having already progressed in their careers, with some already in managerial positions.

“Our success stories show people who are unsure about their next career move the breadth of opportunities that exist through the apprenticeship route. We are totally committed to supporting our apprentices and helping them on their journey to long and successful careers at Brakes.”
