LRS expects that as the consumer trend towards healthier lifestyles continues, lower-sugar, low-sugar and zero-sugar drinks will become an even more important part of a retailer’s chiller.
The company made a bold decision in November 2016 to reformulate its portfolio to ensure none of its core brands has more than 5g of sugar per 100ml.
These core brands are now better suited than ever to help retailers meet consumer demand for lower-sugar drinks, alongside their much-loved, low-calorie NPD Lucozade Zero, Lucozade Sport Fitwater, Lucozade Sport low-cal, Ribena Light and Orangina Light.
We anticipate that the growth in low and no sugar drinks will accelerate now that the Soft Drinks Industry Levy is introduced and retailers should ensure that their chillers are stocked with a full range of low, lower and regular sugar drinks.
